Andrey Novakov

Member of the European Parliament

Andrey Novakov (EPP, Bulgaria) became Member of the European Parliament in 2014, one of the youngest MEPs to ever serve the Institution. Currently, he is the EPP Coordinator in the Committee on Regional Development (REGI) and part of two other committees – the Committee on Security and Defence (SEDE) and the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN).

For Andrey, transport is at the heart of his work, and he is fully dedicated to shaping a modern, efficient, and competitive transport system that benefits both citizens and businesses. Currently, Andrey is the EPP rapporteur on two legislations of key importance – Enforcement of passenger rights and Air passenger rights.
