Prof. Dr. Wouter Dewulf is a researcher and professor specializing in airport and airline strategy, air cargo strategy and cross-border e-commerce. He is affiliated with the Department of Transport and Regional Economics at the University of Antwerp. In addition to his research, he serves as professor and Academic Director at the Centre for Maritime and Air Transport Management (C-MAT) at Antwerp Management School. He teaches in the Executive MBA program at the same institution. Wouter holds several visiting professor positions at leading academic institutions, including Hasselt University (Belgium), Kedge Business School (France), MIT (Boston), and the Institute of Transportation Trisakti (Indonesia). He has published extensively on topics such as air cargo strategy, e-commerce and last-mile logistics, economic impact of airports and aviation strategy, contributing to advancing air transport economics and cross-border logistics research. Wouter holds a Master in Applied Economics and a Master in Business Engineering from the University of Antwerp (UAntwerpen) and a Maîtrise d’Administration et Gestion from UCL. His Ph.D. dissertation at UAntwerpen, “The Strategy of Air Transport Carriers: Carpet Sellers and Cargo Stars,” examined different business models in the air cargo industry.
